"During his academic career, he studied, among others, Mike Outram, Shaun Baxter, Ian Scott (Beach Boys), Phillip Mead (George Crumb), Dave Cliff (Lee Konitz), Eddie Harvey (Ella Fitzgerald). During many years Sandro Norton established himself as a session musician working in TV, Orchestra and Theatre music Sandro Norton´s catalogue of work includes film soundtracks, television themes, pop, blues and jazz studio work. He appeared in more than 100 national TV shows and played in front of 50.000 people. Currently, he is realising his solo album ""Flying High... At The heart of it"" and leads his own band featuring Gary Burton on vibraphone." In addition to leading his own bands, Sandro Norton has shared the stage and the studio not only with the heroes and great peers mentioned above but with the likes of Gary Burton, Barry Harris, Randy Brecker, Ian Anderson, Pip Williams, Bias, Vasilis Xenopoulos, Mario Barreiros, Carlos Barreto, Carlos Azevedo, Filipe Raposo to name a few. Sandro Norton regularly performs in the top jazz venues and in major festivals across the country and around the world. As an educator, he has established jazz programs, along with presenting workshops for students of all ages.
