Roadrunner signs Atreyu
Hugely respected metal label Roadrunner Records has announced the worldwide signing of metalcore titans Atreyu, whose last album A Death Grip On Yesterday exploded into the US Billboard chart at number 9 last year.

A million record sales later, Atreyu are ready to release its follow up, Lead Sails Paper Anchor on August 27th. The album, the band’s fourth, has been produced by Goldfinger’s John Feldmann, who has previously enjoyed massive success with bands including Good Charlotte, The Used, and Lostprophets.

Atreyu’s singer Alex Varkatzas is delighted with signing to Roadrunner, commenting, “We’re excited to be on a label with a roster we respect and with such a strong track record overseas. The Atreyu / Roadrunner combination is going to really shake things up, we feel confident about this relationship and can’t wait to start crushing together!”

In June, Atreyu also launched a game in which fans are able to hear and arrange snippets of the new album’s first single, Becoming The Bull. The fan who stitches all parts of the song together fastest, in the correct order, will win a sought after collection of prizes, including a signed guitar and a phone call from the band. Go to www.atreyugame.com to try it for yourself.
