Welcome to the best new online resource for musicians on the web - iGuitar. No matter whether you're already a regular visitor to Lick Library or new here, from now on iGuitar is your essential visit on the web - a place where you can find out what's happening in the world of rock n roll, check out the latest gear in our fully independent reviews and enjoy interviews with some of the biggest artists in the world.
But it doesn't end there. iGuitar is unlike any other online music magazine – we'll be showing you exactly how unique it is in the coming weeks. For now, you can check out our exclusive on-camera interview with guitar legend Steve Vai. You have two ways to enjoy it: either click on the link that says 'Read Full Story' or follow the more intriguing 'Read Interactive Feature'. If you decide to go interactive then you'll find yourself in a whole world of streaming media, video and the kinds of magazine pages your average newsagent would kill for.

iGuitar is also about you. As a member of our LickSpace community (and if you're not a member, then what on earth are you waiting for?) you can contribute to iGuitar in exactly the same way as our regular writers. If you're out at a great gig, grab the band afterwards and use your phone to video yourself saying hello to them, then SMS the video to us so we can show it to the entire world wide web. Got a musical opinion to get off your chest? Email to me and you might find your words in a blog exactly like this one. As a treat for catching iGuitar right at the beginning, you can even enter our exclusive Steve Vai competition to win a JEM guitar worth £1500. Follow the Steve Vai interactive link for more details.

Most importantly I want to hear from you with your thoughts on iGuitar, what we should cover and how. We already have an enormous amount planned for the next few weeks, including an interview with Queens of the Stone Age, a raft of product reviews, our in-depth, backstage coverage of Download 2007, what it's like to play the Royal Albert Hall, a special report on Joe Satriani playing in Hyde Park and a massive interview with DragonForce. It's going to be exciting. Want to know more? You can find me in LickSpace at the address below. In the meantime, enjoy getting interactive!
